It's official, everyone in my class is finally 24! Last night we had a class dinner at Cheesecake Factory to celebrate CJ's birthday and it was great to have T here for the evening and for all of us to be together (well, minus our east coast friend...Blur!). I brought along a pumpkin spice cake which we totally could have done without given the fact that they brought CJ a birthday dessert and we ordered a slice of red velvet cheesecake which was HUGE, but instead we all had samples of all three desserts and the waiters pretty much had to roll us out the door when we were finished. After dinner we intended on heading home because a couple of us had to get up this morning, but we ended up standing by the car and talking for about an hour...pretty typical for us and made us think about how we used to do that almost every night freshman year at training table dinners; it's so easy for us to just continue on and on, pretty much about nothing.
We gave CJ a couple of gifts: Blair sent her some beautiful flowers, I got her a wine rack, and Weedge helped fill it with two really good looking bottles of wine (though it's not like we needed help filling it...part of the reason why I got it is because CJ always has 5-6 bottles sitting on the counter, haha). We also presented her with her class gift, a movie entitled, "Sh*t That Carly Janiga Says." Everyone got one of those movies this year and we modeled it after a popular YouTube craze that went on for awhile. It was fun to make but even better to see her uncontrollable laughter the entire way through.
Happy Birthday, CJ! I'm glad I was able to be here to celebrate with you this year and I can't wait until next year when we get to do it all over again :)
