The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude is more important than fact, education, money, circumstances, failures, successes, or what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, our attitude.

Thailand
No, your eyes are not playing tricks on you; the above heading does indeed say Thailand. I will be going on vacation for spring break. Well, I guess it's not really spring break, it's more like fall or Easter break, but either way I will be spending it in Thailand. I have been thinking about exploring and getting away while I'm here, since I'm so much closer to Asia than I ever will be again in the foreseeable future, and after some help from the travel agent I have put together a pretty amazing trip. School ends on April 22nd, and I will be flying out the next day, through Bangkok and onto Chiang Mai, where I will spend the night before commencing a three night adventure with a tour group. After the tour is over, I will spend one more night in Chiang Mai before flying back to Bangkok, where I will spend the day/another night and then come home. Flights, accommodation, transportation, and the tour are all planned and paid for, so there's no turning back now. Tomorrow I go back to the travel agent to pick up all of the vouchers and then from there it's just packing and getting excited. It's going to be different from anything that I've ever done before, that's for sure. But hey, if I can move half way around the world, I can spend a week in a Thai tropical rainforest.
